PACHYPHRAGMA MACROPHYLLUM

PACHYPHRAGMA MACROPHYLLUM

Pachyphragma macrophyllum brings understated charm to shaded or moist garden spaces with its dainty white flowers blooming from February to April. These delicate blooms rise above a lush carpet of broad, dark green foliage, forming a neat groundcover that reaches around 18cm in height.

An excellent choice for tricky spots like clay soils or full shade, it’s as undemanding as it is welcome. As Gill Mullin aptly put it: "Never was such a pretty and welcome plant damned by its name more." Once established, it naturalises gently and offers quiet beauty through the tail end of winter.
